Greetings and welcome to Emerson Primary School, the home of the "Little Jackets"!  I am thrilled that you have decided to view our school’s website in order to learn more about the wonderful students, staff, and programs we have to offer.  Emerson Primary has a reputation of excellence and we will continue to strive to become the best that we can be.  We are about to embark upon a new school year with great enthusiasm and anticipation of new opportunities that will enhance our instructional program and school community as a whole.

As many of you are aware, there have been many changes to our schools this summer.  Emerson now serves students in grades K-2.  I am new to the Emerson family as well, and some of you may be curious to know more about me.  I am a native of Shelby County, having graduated from Anna High School.  This begins my 26th year in education, and I am still as excited about my career choice today as I was all those years ago!  I currently reside in Darke County with my husband, Joe, and our two daughters who are soon to be 10- and 12-years-old.

We encourage you to visit our beautiful school and see that we are a school committed to children. You will find that this is a vibrant and engaging community of teachers and learners.  To our parents, we believe that your involvement is an essential component to the academic success of your child.   I encourage you to visit our website often, follow us on social media, meet your child’s teacher and to get engaged in all that Emerson has to offer.  Your participation in our school is needed and greatly appreciated!

I look forward to partnering with you as we "inspire, empower, and prepare our students for their best future!"

In Jacket Pride,
Stephanie Klingshirn
