Hello Northwood Families,
Welcome to new Northwood Intermediate School! I am very excited for this year, and to get to know all the 3rd and 4th grade students here at Northwood. My name is Michael Moore and I am the principal of Northwood. I have been in the district for 9 years now. My experiences include assistant principal at the high school and the middle school. The last three years I was the principal at Emerson Elementary here in the district. I am very excited for this year and a new building, new teachers and new students. I know that for some this might bring some anxiety, but I assure you the staff here will be more than welcoming to all of our students. The staff here understands that transitions and change are hard for everyone involved. Our goal is to make this transition and district realignment go as smoothly as possible. I am committed to making sure everyone feels apart of the Northwood family.
Below are the districts new mission and vision. These are what will drive my decision making, but I will need input to make this year a success. Parents, teachers, support staff and students will all help drive my decisions, and the adaptations we will make this year. This year in particular will be an ongoing work in progress, so please remember we will all need to be a bit more flexible. Please feel free to contact me any time. You can also follow me on Twitter and Instagram. The following is my contact information:
