SHS Fares Well at State Business Competition

April 10, 2017 - Sidney High School recently had several students compete at state competition for Business Professionals of America, a student organization that allows students from all over the nation to enhance their skills and compete in areas such as administration, programming, marketing, design and processing tools. SHS had four students qualify to continue on to the National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida. 

The students will continue enhancing their skills in their specific competitions in attempt to take home a trophy at the national level. We would like to congratulate the following individuals who qualified for the National Leadership Conference:
Anthony Mitchell - 1st place - C++ Programming
Joseph Douglas- 5th place - C++ Programming
NourEddine Hijazi - 4th place - JAVA Programming

Virtual competitions national ranking:
Elliot Wilson - Top Ten - Mobile Development

Though the following did not qualify for the National Leadership Conference, they represented Sidney High School very well at the state BPA competition:

Paige Graham - 8th place - Fundamental Spreadsheet Applications
Seth Wallace - 14th place - Human Resource Management
Kelly Garber - 16th place - Medical Office Procedures
Kathryn Saunders - 6th place - Prepared Speech
Austin Simon - 9th place - Presentation Management Individual
