Whittier kindergarten students in Ms. Nikki Inman’s class have been discussing professions and careers. Each student had to choose a profession they wanted to do when they grew up. Selections ranged from teacher, fireman, and policeman to military, nurse, doctor and dentist.

Students then wrote letters to people in those professions. Those people then wrote letters back. Some of the professionals sent extra goodies with their letters, like toothbrushes or stickers.

Carson Fryman uniquely decided he wanted to be a wildlife photographer. After Ms. Inman tracked down a wildlife photographer for him to write to, he received a letter back from Doug Pollitt. Even more special, Doug send a framed print of one of his wildlife photographs - a mountain lion jumping on the rocks at Canyons of the Ancients in Colorado. He shared that the mountain lions were from a farm in Montana, but were brought to Colorado for photographers to capture.
