Hurricane Relief Collection

Trailer at Sidney Memorial Stadium for hurricane relief collections.

September 7, 2017 - Sidney City Schools will be taking part in a collection of hurricane relief items in cooperation of the Sidney-Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and Sidney Transportation Services.

A semi trailer, provided by Steve Woodruff of Sidney Transportation Services, will be parked in front of Sidney Memorial Stadium Friday, September 8 – Friday, September 15.

Members of the community, including those attending various sporting events over the next week, are encouraged and welcome to donate much-needed items for victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Once Sidney’s collection drive is completed, Woodruff will be moving the trailer to other sites he does business in route to Houston in efforts to fill the trailer.

“As we watch what happens on the east coast with developing hurricanes, future collection efforts may take place,” said Mitch Hoying, Sidney Athletic Director.
