Congratulations to the Sidney High School Class of 2020! 

On Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Sidney Memorial Stadium, Sidney High School held their 149th commencement ceremony, graduating 268 students. Seniors Delaney Wilson and Jordan McNeal sang the National Anthem, Class Secretary Meredith Martin led the invocation, Class Treasurer Hailey New gave the welcome, and Class Vice President Delaney Wilson led the tassel ceremony. Class President Nobel Zhou, National Honor Societ President Leah Baldwin, and Sidney High School Principal all gave addresses.

Of the 268 graduates, 62 graduated with high honors, with 36 receiving honor's diplomas. Three students also graduated with an associate's degree from Edison Community College including Drake Cromes, Alijah Jackson, and Hailey New. Seven students will go on to serve in the United States military including Jomari Batusin, Bill Beaver, Jr., Alijah Jackson, Jenesis Jones, Matthew Joos, Tyler Murphy, and Kaitlyn Smith.

Graduating Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.75-3.99 and earning the Ohio Department of Education Honors Diploma are Ryan Allen, Makayla Carr, Paullina David, Natalie Gary, Mason Homan, Hawa Nage, Conner Nuss, Brandan Rose, Kaitlyn Smith, Hallie Truesdale, and Trey Werntz.


Graduating Summa Cum Laude with a GPA of 4.00-4.24 and earning the Ohio Department of Education Honors Diploma are Ian Bonifas, Drake Cromes, Alijah Jackson, Meredith Martin, Sarah Miu, Whitney Petty, Mason Simindinger, Erin Stephens, Kaitlyn Van Zant, Delaney Wilson, and Reece Wilson.


Graduating Magna Cum Laude, the highest distinction achievable at Sidney High School, with a GPA of 4.25 and higher and earning the Ohio Department of Education Honors Diploma are Lea Baldwin, Lydia Brewer, Katie Butts, Nathan Johnson, Mitchell Larger, Hailey New, Jay Sherman, and Nobel Zhou.
