Parent Teacher Organization

The Whittier Elementary Parent Teacher Organization(PTO) is organized for the purpose of supporting and enhancing the educational experiences of the school's students by:

  • Encouraging parents to assist with various school activities/functions/services.
  • Providing financial assistance where needs are identified and approved by the Executive Board and membership.
  • Fostering a community atmosphere.
  • Supporting the mission and vision of the school and school district.

We encourage you to be active in our PTO, which meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm at Whittier. This organization not only supports our mission, but their efforts also provide many school activities including annual activities such as the Whittier Mum Festival in the fall, visiting author/artist/musician, a visit from COSI on Wheels, and a Fun & Field Day.

Anyone with questions or input should contact the Whittier PTO by email at, or call the school office at 937-497-2275.
