Parents, Students, Staff, Community Members, and Other Stakeholders that make Sidney such a great district!
I am thankful for this opportunity to join Sidney City Schools as your new Principal. Sidney is an innovative district that is meeting the unique needs of its students and to be part of this is truly a blessing for myself and my family. It is the mission of Sidney Middle School, in cooperation with the parents and community, to reflect PRIDE by promoting academic success in an atmosphere of excellence, relying on a professional and productive staff, integrating curriculum with the skills of life-long learners, developing productive citizens for tomorrow, and engaging all students academically and socially.
I graduated with my bachelor's degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 06' with my degree in Elementary Education K-6 and my master's degree from Concordia University of Chicago in 18'. This year marks my 15th year in education with the last four serving as the Middle School and High School Assistant Principal with Milton Union Schools. I also served as the Interim Principal for the High School from mid-March through May of this past school year. While at Milton, I had many other roles: District Safety Coordinator, Attendance Coordinator, ALICE Instructor, PBIS facilitator, OTES evaluator, professional development instructor, and working with teachers piloting Performance Matters with our students. I hope to bring my knowledge and skills in these areas to Sidney, all while continuing to build a positive culture for all stakeholders.
Outside of work, my family means everything to me. My wife, Heather, and I live on the family farm outside of Troy. We have two beautiful daughters, Jaycee and Jorgia. We also have two labs Juniper and Jemma. My family is excited to be part of this new journey with Sidney City Schools and looks forward to spending more time in the area attending events and meeting people in the community.
Again, I am truly honored to be given this opportunity and look forward to immersing myself completely in our school and in our community. I believe my main responsibility is to put our teachers in the best possible position to succeed, as they will in turn put our children in the best possible position to succeed. I look forward to working collaboratively as a team towards this success. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share.
