Dear Northwood Families and Friends,

Welcome to Northwood Intermediate School where our mission is to inspire, empower, and prepare our students for their best future, and our vision is to meet the needs of all students in a safe, respectful, and responsible learning community.  

Our school is a community of learners with a great sense of "family and connection" between the school staff and our students and their families.  Our staff is a dedicated community of professionals striving to provide an environment where every child learns and every child grows!  Northwood is a 3-4 Intermediate School with an average enrollment of 450 students. 

Our school has a very culturally diverse student population with children representing many countries and cultures around the world.  Our two areas of primary focus at Northwood are academic excellence and celebrating good character.  Our teachers are all highly qualified and our staff is dedicated to the success of all students.  We all understand the importance of our role in guiding and teaching our young students at the intermediate stage of their life-long journey in learning. 

Northwood staff embraces the District's Positive Behavior Intervention Support system and supports the practices of Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful.  We will focus on the character traits of "Building Kids of Character" by supporting the traits of citizenship, fairness, caring, trustworthiness, respect, and responsibility by all members of the Northwood Community.  We also encourage and value strong family and community involvement at Northwood.
