The Sidney City School district is committed to the improvement of a communications process that provides a mechanism for two-way dialogue with the community.
The Communications Department is responsible for district-related communications such as news releases, social media, the website, district newsletters, brochures, and special mailers.

News Releases
News releases are sent to all print and electronic news outlets and posted on our website to share the progress, mission, and successes of our students, teachers, and staff.
District Newsletter
The Jacket Journal, a district-wide newsletter is distributed to all 13,000 residences within the Sidney City School district to present information to parents, students, staff, and the community. The Jacket Journal is published and distributed 3-4 times a year by Sidney City Schools for the purpose of keeping district residents informed.

District social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram provide an additional medium to communicate with the community. We would love for you to connect with us!
SchoolMessenger
Sidney City Schools utilizes SchoolMessenger for emergency and general notifications. SchoolMessenger has an app and website parents/students can log into to listen to messages. Visit https://go.schoolmessenger.com/#/home to log in or link to download the app. You will need the email or one of the phone numbers linked to your child to log in. Once your account is setup, you may adjust which contacts receive which types of communications.

The district website is a means to provide as much information to parents and community members as possible. We make every attempt to ensure all of the information is current and correct. Please let us know if you have any suggestions for improving it.
